Membership to the The Hispanic Lobbyists Association (HLA), a 501 (c)(6) organization, is open to all individuals who self-identify with -- or are committed to -- supporting the Hispanic/Latino community and who have professional responsibilities in the field of government relations and/or public affairs. Its mission is to advance and empower Hispanic/Latino government relations and public affairs professionals by fostering mentorship and professional development opportunities. HLAβs members are talented advocates whose expertise and knowledge make for a more informed policy making process. They work in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors; serve as community relations, external affairs, government relations, policy, and public affairs advocates; and are experts in a broad range of issues, including cybersecurity, education, energy, financial services, healthcare, media, tax, technology, and telecommunications.
