Thanks to and everybody who participated in the “Reimagining Health. Modernizing Care” legislative summit in the U.S. Capitol. It was an honor to moderate a conversation with professionals and students on what's needed to build stronger career pathways in the new health AI economy.

It was also truly special to meet inside the Capitol room named in honor of retired U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski of Maryland, the longest-serving woman in the history of the U.S. Congress.

Through policy, programs, funding and coalition work, we must do more to ensure technology and health solutions aren’t just being developed for community. Community must be at the center of tech and health developments, benefit through improved health outcomes and be positioned to advance economically as creators, executives and staff of key health, tech and AI organizations.

I'm officially a Lambda Lady! 🌴🥰🌙
Thanks to Lambda Theta Alpha Incorporated for selecting me to join your beautiful sisterhood as an honorary member. It means the world for you to recognize me not only for the job titles I've held and work I've led, but – more importantly – the woman and leader I strive to be in the world.

When I was an undergrad student, Latina sororities were just emerging in our area. I was part of a club that eventually led to the founding of a Latina sorority, and just thought the timing wasn't there for me to actually be in a sorority.

I proudly supported my sister, Christine, as she went on to become a member of LTA. And I loved organizing and working with LTA friends and leading workshops with hermanas over the years.

So it truly warmed my heart to receive the touching letter in the mail announcing that I was nominated, and selected for, honorary membership in our nation's first Latina sorority.

Through a thoughtful June ceremony, founding mothers and current leaders welcomed me and my impressive line sister, former Philadelphia Councilmember Maria Quiñones Sanchez.

I now carry a deeper appreciation for the organization's roots in academic excellence, political power building and advancing education, racial and social justice.

I carry an extra feeling of support in a challenging world.

And I carry excitement for the new experiences I'll share in the future with this sisterhood driven by the values of unity, love and respect.

Gracias, President Rosie Diaz, Christine and Yadira Sanchez for the nomination and everybody who supported my nomination and welcoming process. And congrats to my line sis, Maria!
