We are so excited to welcome Eli Wiertel to the Design Central team!

Eli is nothing if not intentional, and is always learning and gathering a wide array of knowledge anywhere he goes. He cares a lot, both about his work and about the people he comes into contact with. He can make any project he is involved in personally interesting to him and he enjoys being the guy that friends and family come to when they have a problem that they don't know how to fix. We are excited to see the energy that he pours into our clients’ projects here at Design Central!

With extensive experience in prototyping and nonwovens, Design Central was an ideal partner to explore ways to visually represent the efficacy of the improved Swiffer PowerMop pads. The result? 10,000+ micro-scrubbing dots that offer a deeper clean you can see and feel.

Procter & Gamble is always looking to deliver the best cleaning experience to customers, and that shows in their newly updated Swiffer PowerMop pads. The new pads are more absorbent and now feature 10,000+ scrubbing dots on every pad, cleaning tough messes in fewer passes than the previous PowerMop pads.

Design Central was thrilled to partner with P&G on this project and continue providing meaningful product updates for consumers.

If an opportunity arises, why not make the most of it?

When ScottsMiracle-Gro was looking for assistance in developing a proprietary Ready-to-Spray (RTS) system, Design Central assisted them in not only achieving their goal, but also incorporating meaningful improvements for end users and cost-saving features in manufacturing.

Design it right the first time.

That’s a philosophy we try to work by. It has served us well, with some of the projects we’ve worked on still being sold decades later, unchanged from the original design.

For example, enter the GasBadge Pro Single-Gas Monitor. We worked with Industrial Scientific to design this job site gas monitor back in 2005, and the very same model is still being sold today, over twenty years later.

Recyclable packaging seems everywhere right now, but is that actually the case?

Studies show that consumers are more aware of packaging waste than ever, and they are demanding packaging that is eco-friendly. Retailers are rapidly responding. The EU government is pushing for all packaging to be reusable or recyclable by 2030. California requires all single-use packaging to be recyclable or compostable by 2032.

The images shown here are some of the work we’ve done with major brands to create sustainable and secure packaging for a wide variety of products. Got a packaging project? We’d love to help with yours, too.

Our team isn’t deterred by having to try a lot of solutions before we find the right one.

It took many iterations and lots of prototypes to find an effective attachment method to secure Magic Erasers on Mr. Clean’s new shower & tub scrubber tool, but we tackled the project with enthusiasm and determination. We’re proud to have found a solution that helped Mr. Clean increase the versatility of magic erasers while balancing manufacturability and cost.
