Some blues flash. This one glows.

An unheated Ceylon sapphire, just over 14 carats, the color of a storm cloud lit from within. Powder blue at one angle, deep cornflower at the next. This is the velvety Ceylon blue that collectors spend years trying to find and rarely do, because so few survive untouched.

The Victorian buff top cut is the secret. It was never engineered to sparkle. It was cut to hold color, and it does, like light through old cathedral glass. A trembling halo of rose cut diamonds softens the frame without ever competing.

GIA certified. No indications of heating. A piece that has kept its story intact for more than a century.

Blue, in three expressions.

The Cartier Tank Solo begins with an icon, then departs from it, transformed by a custom pavé sapphire and diamond bezel and lugs commissioned by a previous owner who understood that personal style lives in the details.
