As data centers support higher-density infrastructure and AI-driven workloads, power systems need to perform predictably under real-world conditions.

EnerSys has introduced the DataSafe Noir™ lithium-based energy storage system, engineered to help operators manage power behavior under high-variability load conditions. Designed as an integrated system, DataSafe Noir™ energy systems support controlled performance, compact deployment, and greater operational confidence in demanding data center environments.

Compared to publicly available specifications for leading lithium systems, DataSafe Noir™ energy systems deliver more than 2x output power and over 1.7x greater energy and capacity, helping operators improve utilization of data center floor space.

Outdoor heat has a cost.

As communications networks expand deeper into neighborhoods and edge environments, more backup power systems are operating in outdoor cabinets where temperature is not controlled.

Over time, sustained elevated operating conditions can increase energy consumption, accelerate battery degradation and influence replacement interval stability. Those costs are not always visible at purchase. They often show up later through increased energy use, labor, travel and repeat maintenance visits, especially in hard-to-reach network locations.

To help operators better manage these challenges, EnerSys has launched the AlphaCell™ 4.0HP+ battery, engineered for outside plant deployments across North America.

We’re proud to share a closer look at the impact behind our recent RISE PA grant.

At our Horsham, Pennsylvania facility, this investment supports targeted upgrades designed to improve energy efficiency and operational performance, including:
• Enhanced building automation for smarter HVAC and lighting control
• High-efficiency rooftop heat pump systems
• LED lighting upgrades
• A new variable speed air compressor

These improvements are expected to deliver more than $45,000 in annual energy savings.

This is what progress looks like—focused investments that strengthen our operations and deliver real results.

This Earth Day, we’re proud to highlight measurable progress across our operations.

At EnerSys, improving energy efficiency and optimizing resource use is a core part of how we deliver value for our customers and communities. Across our global footprint, teams are focused on reducing energy consumption, lowering costs, and strengthening performance.

That work is reflected in our recent recognition through the RISE PA program. EnerSys has been awarded a grant to support energy efficiency upgrades at our Horsham, Pennsylvania facility. These projects will modernize equipment, improve system performance, and reduce overall energy use—delivering more than $45,000 in annual energy savings.
