As part of the regional Fireside Yarra Valley festival, join us for a captivating afternoon of warmth, indulgence, and exceptional dining within the historic elegance of Melba’s Gallery. Escape the Winter chill and settle in beside our roaring fireplace for an exclusive, curated three-course premium lunch.

To complement your dining experience, your ticket features complimentary, free-flowing pours of Coombe Yarra Valley’s finest estate wines throughout the entire afternoon. To elevate the occasion further, a dedicated member of our expert Cellar Door team will guide you through the unique stories, heritage vintages, and structural nuances behind each paired selection.

THE MENU
Upon Arrival: Chef’s selection of premium canapés

Entrée: Lobster with smoked seaweed butter, saffron linguine, and bottarga, finished with Yarra Valley caviar.

Main: Dry-aged duck breast glazed with honey mountain pepper, served alongside local muntries, a rich red cabbage purée, and a glossy jus vin.

Dessert: A contemporary nod to our heritage: a delicate Peach Melba tart, served with vibrant local raspberries and creamy vanilla ice cream.

Happy 165th Birthday to Australia’s original superstar, Dame Nellie Melba! 👑✨

If there was one thing Melba loved as much as music, it was throwing a legendary party. Her beloved home, Coombe Cottage, was the ultimate backdrop for lavish star-studded garden parties, endless champagne, and laughter that filled the Yarra Valley. 🥂🍾

Today, we’re raising a glass to her unmatched legacy, her impeccable style, and her timeless spirit. May we all celebrate with a fraction of the glamour she brought to the world! 🎶🌹

A note from the vineyard: Vintage 2026 is officially in the books. 🍇🌿

They say no two vintages are the same, and Vintage 2026 certainly kept us on our toes. After the whirlwind of ‘25, this year asked for patience. From a "stop-start" spring in the Yarra Valley to late-season heat and rain, our team worked tirelessly to protect every bunch.

The result? Quality over quantity. While yields are lower, the concentration of flavour is incredible. We’re seeing stunning elegance in our Chardonnay and deep, classic character in the Pinot Noir.

🍷Mother Nature tested us, but the resilience of the vines has delivered a vintage we are immensely proud of. We can’t wait to share these with you.

As we pause to remember those who served, we reflect on Dame Nellie Melba’s enduring connection to Australia’s Anzac story.

During the First World War, Melba raised over £100,000 for the Red Cross and continued her support in the years that followed, championing returned and limbless soldiers. She visited Australian troops at their barracks, performed for them, and welcomed many here to Coombe Cottage — offering moments of comfort, music and gratitude during difficult times.
Lest we forget.

Our 2023 Tribute Mr Mark Shiraz 🍷

Aromatic notes of blackcurrant and mulberry layered with subtle dried spice and a hint of white pepper. The palate is generous and flowing, with dark, concentrated fruit carried by fine tannins. Rich, long and beautifully refined — a true reflection of the cool Yarra Valley climate. ✨
