Last Thursday, 140 guests from across the Central West came together at the ANFD Function Centre in Borenore for our annual ANFD x CWIW Ladies Lunch. It was an opportunity to connect, share stories, learn from one another, and be inspired by local leaders building businesses and careers right here in our region.

Thank you to our speaker, Kate Greenwood of Greenwood Designs, for sharing her story, and to our panel, Maggie Jarrett (See Saw W**es), Pip Brett (Jumbled) and Colleen Southwell (The Garden Curator), for the openness and insight they brought to our panel chat. Thank you also to our host, Skye Manson, for guiding the conversation so beautifully.

It's almost a week on from wrapping up our third Central West Inspired Women Ladies Lunch at Australian National Field Days and we have just about caught our breath.

A sold out room, a waitlist, and an afternoon full of conversation and connection. Thank you to KWS for sponsoring this year’s lunch, to Macquariedale W**es for keeping our glasses full, and to the Australian National Field Days team for having us back again.

How lucky we are to live in Central West NSW. A place with an abundance of energy and kindness and understanding that lifting others with you has the ability to benefit us all.

Our ANFD x CWIW Ladies Lunch sold out in record time this year, and when you look at the line up, its probably no surprise!

What a coup to have Maggie Jarrat join our panel chat for our Ladies Lunch.

Maggie leads business development and brand management for her family business, See Saw W**es. See Saw W**es runs 130ha of certified organic vineyard, dorper lambs, a 600-tonne w**ery and a tasting room. She is also a 2025 Nuffield Scholar investigating why so many well-intentioned agricultural programs, policies and investments fail to create lasting value for farmers. Maggie was the inaugural recipient of the Australian Society of Viticulture and Oenology in 2025 for her initiative in creating the Rootlings w**e industry youth network, which connects and empowers early-career professionals in New South Wales and across Australia.

We are looking forward to hearing more of Maggies story - we have a feeling she is only just getting started!

The Garden Curator, aka Colleen Southwell, is an artist, horticulturist and garden maker, whose work is guided by a deep connection to nature, creativity and the places we create around us.
From painstakingly detailed paper art to thoughtfully designed gardens, we wonder if there is nothing this talented lady can't do. We are so pleased Colleen accepted our invitation to be part of our panel for the upcoming Ladies Lunch!

We are thrilled to have local businesswoman Pip Brett on our panel chat for the ANFD x CWIW Ladies Lunch.

In case you have somehow missed her story so far, Pip Brett is the owner of JUMBLED, a homewares and fashion store in Orange, NSW, operating both in-store and online. Passionate about expanding the retail experience, she has hosted a podcast and created The Huddle—a weekend of education and inspiration for businesswomen. More recently, Pip and her husband Nick showcase their artists at the Affordable Art Fair in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

We are looking forward to the tried and tested truths that Pip delivers so well in her conversations and of course, the warm and generous energy she brings.

The Australian National Field Days (ANFD) is Australia’s oldest annual agricultural exhibition, established in 1952. The 2026 event spans three days and showcases agricultural innovation, machinery, livestock, demonstrations, and family entertainment.

We value the support ANFD have given as host to our Central West Inspired Women's Lunch, now in its third year. We are just over three weeks away from our ANFD x CWIW Ladies Lunch and if you have been lucky enough to snap up a ticket, it's worth knowing that your ticket price includes all day access to the Field Days once you enter through the gates. Come early or stay late after lunch, either way it's a wonderful wander before or after our event.
