What is there for kids to do at this year's Eddington Carnival?

Join us on Friday 17th July and Saturday 18th July for two fun-filled days with the little people in your life. From tots to teens, there is something for all to enjoy. Highlights include…

🎤 Kpop Demon Hunters - Rumi character performance and meet and greet (Fri only)
🌈 Magical multi-sensory adventure with Hartbeeps Cambridge (Fri only)
🎵 Schools Out Disco with Jumping Jemma's Children's Disco (Fri only)
🎩 Sammy Magic Magic live on The Hill Group stage and The Pentangle Club Cambridge performing close-up tricks
🎡 Funfair – rides including Funhouse, Teacups, Train Ride, Toyset Carousel, Bumper Cars and Bungee Trampolines
⚽ The Hill Group Kick Zone – with football darts and a giant inflatable pitch
🔬 Whipple Museum of the History of Science (Fri only), Museum on a Bike and Cambridge University Museums (Fri only)
🌿 Woodcraft Folk – craft activities, parachute games and scavenger hunts

Two days. One event. Something for absolutely everyone. 🎉

The Eddington Carnival returns on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th July for a celebration of community, culture and collaboration.

Catch headline acts The Koala Syndicate (Fri) and Cores Do Samba (Sat) on The Hill Group Stage, Knights Park Eddington, plus a special teaser from the Cambridge Folk Festival, interactive workshops and activities from Present Made, fitness and wellbeing sessions, and local hobbyist, charity and retail stalls.

If you're bringing little ones, there's plenty to keep them busy too - Hartbeeps (Fri), a Schools Out Disco (Fri), the funfair, LEGO and crafting stations, Billy the Bear meet and greet, and the much-loved sandpit.

Plus so much more that brings the whole crowd together, from a brand-new Carnival Parade supported by Durkan Homes and dancers and performers, to The Hill Group, Knights Park Eddington Kick Zone, community activity sessions, creative displays, and delicious food and drink.

Last week we marked World Environment Day 🌍 with an Ecology Walking Tour right here in Eddington.

From the lagoons and reedbeds of Brook Leys - home to water voles, otters, bats and amphibians - to the meadows and wildflowers of Storey’s Field, the tour was a reminder of just how much nature is woven into the fabric of this community 🌿

And with the veteran oak tree supporting rare invertebrates, and wildflowers shifting through the seasons across the site, there’s always something new to discover on your doorstep.

Nature isn’t just out there - it’s part of life here.
