Thank you to everyone who came along to our October half-term Holiday Lunch at Storey's Field Centre. 🍂

Local families began the morning with crafts and activities run by The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge and Cambridge City Council before sitting down together for lunch prepared by the team at The Starman. It was lovely to see children busy at the craft tables and neighbours catching up over lunch.

This free event was organised by community volunteers led by New Life Church Cambridge with support from Storey's Field Centre, Hyatt Centric Cambridge, Cambridge Sustainable Food, and Eddie's Café.

A big thank you to everyone who gave their time on the day. 💛

The Autumn Eddington Edition is here! 📰

It’s been a season of neighbours coming together. Hundreds of you gathered to watch the summer’s solar eclipse, more than 250 people learned life-saving CPR skills at the Restart a Heart Day, and Eddie’s Community Café is about to celebrate its eighth birthday. 🎂 Join New Life Church Cambridge for cake and a catch-up on Monday 9 November, 9.30–11am at Storey's Field Centre.

There’s plenty more to look forward to, from the Eddington Arts Autumn Fair to stargazing in December, and the Christmas Flea at douce on Saturday 28 November to kick off the festive season. 🎄 You’ll also find the latest on the future phases, the new crossings and the NHS facility inside.

Celebrating Black History Month together at Storey’s Field Centre. ✨

On Saturday, Cambridge African Network hosted its annual celebration, with stalls, activities and talks in the afternoon, followed by an evening of music, dancing and African food.

During the day, families browsed the stalls, joined in with activities, and stayed for talks on Black history and heritage. In the evening, the hall filled with live performances and dancing, and the food stalls kept everyone well fed.

Thank you to the Cambridge African Network, the performers and everyone who came along to share the day. 💛

🏡 Celebrating award-winning design at Eddington

We were delighted to welcome Cambridge MP Daniel Zeichner to Rubicon, designed by Alison Brooks Architects and recognised with a Royal Institute of British Architects East Award.

Its 186 homes are set around landscaped courtyards and shared spaces, designed to create a welcoming place to live.

❤️ One community. One life-saving skill. The power to make a difference.

More than 250 people joined us at Storey's Field Centre for Restart a Heart Day, learning how to perform CPR and use a defibrillator in an emergency.

From hands-on training for adults to an inspiring workshop for 80 children and staff from University of Cambridge Primary School, the day showed that everyone can take steps towards saving a life. 🙌

Together with the University of Cambridge Sport, East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust and EEAST Heart, the initiative has now helped train more than 575 people in CPR over three years.

A huge thank you to all the trainers, volunteers and community members who made it such a meaningful day. 💚

Because knowing what to do could make all the difference.

The Eddington Arts Autumn Fair is coming to Storey's Field Centre on Saturday 14 November, 10.30am - 4.30pm. 🍂

Come and meet the makers and artists behind the stalls, browse, chat, and take something special home. With 26 local designers and craftspeople taking part, you’ll find ceramics, jewellery, textiles, prints, woodwork and more.

Join us for a cosy indoor wander round the stalls, a catch-up with neighbours, and a celebration of Eddington’s creative community.

Inside Information: a look into Eddie’s Café. ☕

At Storey's Field Centre showcase, part of Open Cambridge, the recent Q&A with Phillip Money, Centre Manager, gave us the inside scoop on everything that happens here, and one thing that came up again and again was community spirit. You might know us for our workshops, art classes and kids’ activities, but there’s more happening at Storey’s Field Centre than meets the eye.

Take Eddie’s Cade () a weekly community get-together run by , right here at the Centre. It’s not really about the coffee (though there’s always tea and cake available), it’s about neighbours meeting neighbours, and friendships starting over a cuppa.

Behind it all is a brilliant group of regular volunteers who keep the doors open and the kettle on, exactly the kind of community spirit Phillip was talking about. 💚

Live or work at Eddington? Help shape how we get around. 🚲

In partnership with the University of Cambridge transport team we’re running the 2026/7 Eddington travel survey, and we’d love to hear from everyone who lives or works here.

It’s open until 1 November, and your answers help show how Eddington is getting around and shape the neighbourhood’s transport strategy as it grows, with new walking and cycling routes planned for future phases.

Good design and public transport, from the Universal bus to footpaths and cycle lanes, make sustainable travel easy in any season. It shows: the University’s last travel survey found that 79% of Eddington residents choose sustainable transport for their daily commute. 🍂
