Pioneers of Méthode Traditionelle in New Zealand for 40 years, Adele and Daniel Le Brun launched No.1 Family Estate, their family-owned winery, in July 1997. Steeped in history and tradition, Daniel crafts his wines using the same process perfected over 12 generations, by his champagne-making family in France. The No.1 Family Estate winery and vineyard is set in Marlborough’s beautiful Wairau Valley and is committed exclusively to producing premium Méthode Traditionelle.

A Father’s Day well spent.

Good food, great company and a glass of No.1 raised to the dads and father figures who deserve celebrating.

Naturally, we’re also raising a glass to Daniel this Father’s Day. Founder, winemaker, Dad and a very important part of what makes No.1 a family estate.

A special thank you to Sukesh Puthanveettil Mundayadan and the team at Harvest Restaurant for looking after us so beautifully.

Well it's official, the buds have burst on our Chardonnay vines, the earliest we've ever seen! It's an exciting sign the new growing season is underway. But frost remains a real risk through these final weeks of winter and into spring, so our team is watching closely, ready to protect these young, vulnerable buds through the nights ahead!
