This Single vintage Sparkling w**e spent 6 years on lees. (Most sparkling w**es in NZ spend 18-36 months on lees - longer lees time means richer, more complex flavour and a longer shelf life - it will age wonderfully) The flavour that came from this extrended lees period were so great that it needed no sugar dosage. Soft bubbles, beautiful flavour and really easy to drink.. Don't miss the first tasting of this wonderful rare product.

PATIENCE

The stark slopes of the Carrick Range have always demanded one thing from those who dare to work them: time.

Today, 7th Heaven Vineyard lies nestled in Adams Gully, a tributary gully carving down from the heights of the Carrick Range. Vines now grow adjacent to sluicing cliffs and stacked tailings remain, but this land was a hive of activity long before the first grapes were planted. In the 1860s, miners flooded the gullies, eventually tracing the gold up into the unforgiving, high-altitude terrain of the Carrick Range. Mining on the Carrick Range was a brutal test of endurance. Driven by isolation, freezing winters, and rugged access, the miners often gave their claims names that reflected their daily adversity. Among the 52 mining claims* registered on the Carrick Range, was the Patience Claim located near the high-altitude settlement of Carricktown: It was a place where wealth was not found overnight, but extracted slowly, grain by grain, through sheer persistence against the elements.
That historic spirit of endurance is reborn today in the barrels of 7th Heaven.
The vineyard is releasing our first-ever single-barrel Tawny Port - aged quietly in oak for seven long years, this fortified w**e pays direct tribute to the miners of the Patience Claim. It is a liquid echo of the past – a rich, dark treasure born of winter frosts, scorching summers, and the beautiful, necessary art of waiting. We could all benefit from having more Patience.

Because every barrel ages differently, Patience offers a truly unique tasting experience you won't find anywhere else.
Each release of our single-barrel Tawny Port will pay tribute to the original miners of the Carrick Range, with each edition dedicated to a specific historical claim.

Drawn from a single, unblended cask, this release is highly allocated and quantities are strictly limited.
If paying in gold, we will accept a half gram nugget.
