Harvest update from Coenraad 🍇
Harvest is nearly complete, with only Cabernet Franc and Merlot still to be picked, and I’m proud to be wrapping up my 20th harvest at Brys Estate.
This season has been a tale of two months: July and October. We had a cool, slow start to spring, but July’s warm, dry weather helped boost sugar and flavor development. October has been one of the best I’ve experienced, with above-average temperatures and very little rain.
The fruit has come in healthy and exceptional in quality, with sugar and acid levels lining up closely with the outstanding 2024 vintage. With a spectacular growing season and the hard work of our cellar crew, including Jordan and Joe, this vintage is shaping up beautifully.
At Brys Estate, we’re always striving for excellence, and we’re proud that 11 of the 19 w**es in our current lineup have earned gold medals or higher in w**e competitions just this year.
Looking ahead, we’re increasing production of our popular Rosé, and you can watch for a surprise new red w**e offering, set to debut in 2027.
Our c***r is currently sold out, but we’re working on a new production of Lavender, Rosé and Signature C***r, expected to return in April.
We’re looking forward to finishing harvest, getting the remaining fruit into the cellar, and sharing these w**es with you. Thank you for your continued support of Brys Estate. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Cheers,
Coenraad
