From the East Coast to the West Coast, HKA was honored to host WWCDA chapter members on the evening of May 19, bringing together an extraordinary community of women across the white-collar space.

The evening began in Washington, DC, with the WWCDA DC Chapter’s Bubbles on the Rooftop Summer Networking Event. Set against the beautiful rooftop backdrop of HKA’s DC office, the energy was unmatched, filled with meaningful conversations and the kind of connections that continue to elevate us both personally and professionally. The thoughtfully curated charcuterie and sweet treats from Cartistry, along with wines and bubbly from DCANTER, both women-powered businesses, made the evening even more special.

Meanwhile, across the country, our HKA colleagues hosted the WWCDA Seattle Chapter’s Supper Club, extending the spirit of connection and community to the West Coast. Together, these parallel gatherings reflect the strength, reach, and shared commitment of the WWCDA network.

Thank you to everyone who made the coast-to-coast events such a memorable celebration of the WWCDA community. , , ,

In attendance from HKA DC at Bubbles on the Rooftop: Pamela Verick. Lauren Sheats, Linda Konrath, Cherry Wang, Samapti Barua, Iris DiBernardo, Caitlin Crook, Nikhita Varala, Tyler Smith Khoury, Jenny Dominguez, and Laura Smith (not pictured)

What a day for HKA at the American Heart Association’s Annual Lawyers Have Heart 10K, 5K, and Fun Walk in Washington, DC! Our colleagues showed up ready to compete, ready to give back, and most importantly, ready to make a difference.

This year was one for the record books, with HKA earning 1st place for fundraising in Top Teams and taking home the Lawyers Cup for the second year in a row! These achievements reflect the incredible commitment, energy, and generosity of our team and supporters.

A special thank you to Andrew Dillon, a valued member of the event’s Executive Leadership Team, and Laura Connor Smith, an LHH Co-Chair of this year’s event, who led the way as the #1 Top Walker, raising the bar for impact and inspiring everyone involved.

“This event brings together the entire DC legal community to support the important work of the American Heart Association. I am proud to be part of the HKA team and very grateful to work for a company that supports our involvement in this important mission.” — Laura Connor Smith, Partner

Thank you to everyone who ran, walked, donated, and supported this important cause. Our collective efforts helped drive meaningful fundraising to support the fight against heart disease and stroke, which affect so many individuals and families. We couldn’t have done it without you!

HKA was pleased to serve as a Benefactor‑level sponsor of the William O. Douglas 2026 Award Dinner in Beverly Hills. Several of our colleagues—including Alex Menenberg, Blake Leamy, and Jillian Fong (pictured below), as well as Mike Wallace and Whitney Alary—attended the April 29 fundraiser in support of Public Counsel’s mission.

The event honored multiple recipients, including Vice President Kamala D. Harris, this year’s William O. Douglas Award honoree; Rita Moreno, recipient of the Trailblazer in the Arts Award; and Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, recipient of the Law Firm Pro Bono Award.

An inspiring evening recognizing leadership, creativity, and the power of pro bono service!

In celebration of Mother’s Day, HKA Americas’ Community Impact Team partnered with The Napkin Network and its founder, Lindsay Gill, on a donation drive supporting DC Metro area families facing difficult choices, making a meaningful impact in our community.

🍼Together, we collected 1,350 diapers, 28 cans of formula, and additional essential baby items—including onesies, towels, swaddles, and breast milk storage bags—as well as $1,300 in donations, which HKA will match. Colleagues participated by donating in person, ordering online, or giving directly.

“The generosity of our colleagues makes it possible to support families during an incredibly vulnerable time and strengthen the communities we all share,” said Tyler Smith Khoury, Managing Director. “With their support, fewer parents will have to decide between buying food and essential baby supplies.”

Thank you to our colleagues across the firm whose generosity made this effort possible, and to Tyler for connecting us with The Napkin Network and helping coordinate the drive.

A meaningful way to support moms and caregivers this Mother’s Day! 💐
